Climate change affects societies through existing structures of gender, power and inequality. At the same time, gender relations shape political participation, policy priorities and responses to climate risks. This panel explores climate politics from gendered and feminist perspectives. Contributions may examine gendered vulnerability, representation, climate justice, feminist environmental politics, care, livelihoods, Indigenous and local knowledge or women’s participation in climate governance. Papers addressing how gender intersects with class, race, ethnicity and other forms of inequality are particularly encouraged.
