Description
The rise of populist, nationalist and radical right movements has created new challenges for climate politics in many parts of the world. This panel examines how these political forces shape public debates, climate policies and environmental governance. Papers may explore climate scepticism and denial, nationalism, anti-elite politics, opposition to green policies, migration, identity politics or the mobilisation of resentment around climate transitions. Comparative studies of how populist politics both challenges and reshapes climate action are especially welcome.
