The ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ (¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ) has released its Biennial Report 2024-2025, offering a comprehensive overview of the Association's significant achievements, expanding global reach, and strategic initiatives over the past two years. This reporting period was marked by the celebration of ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ's 75th anniversary in 2024, commemorated through two international conferences.

The report provides detailed insights into ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ’s membership growth, strategic developments, and institutional partnerships, as well as updates on the Executive Committee, Secretariat, and external collaborations. It highlights key inter-Congress activities, including the 75th anniversary conferences in ²Ñ´Ç²Ô³Ù°ùé²¹±ô and Lisbon, the ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Work-in-Progress-Sessions (¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ-WiPS), the ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ World Congress, Summer Schools, publications, and awards.

Among the highlights are ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ’s two anniversary conferences: one in ²Ñ´Ç²Ô³Ù°ùé²¹±ô on Multi-Level Governance with 119 participants from 26 countries, and another in Lisbon on Democratization and Autocratization, which welcomed nearly 500 participants from 67 countries. The report also underscores the essential work of the ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Secretariat, which coordinates ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ’s global activities from its base at Concordia University in ²Ñ´Ç²Ô³Ù°ùé²¹±ô.

The report especially highlights the key role played by the Executive Committee (EC) in guiding ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ’s strategic direction and ensuring strong governance. Through its subcommittees, the EC contributes to key areas such as membership, finances, publications, research, and the world congress program, helping drive ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ’s global impact and continued growth.

The report also underscores a record-breaking growth in ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ’s membership, with 4,752 individual members as of 13 June 2025, reflecting the growing global interest in political science. This milestone was supported by the introduction of a newly redesigned institutional membership model in 2025, offering more flexibility and value to institutions.

Progress in ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ’s publications and educational outreach is also highlighted in the report. The International Political Science Abstracts saw an 82% increase in downloads, and the International Political Science Review continued to grow in both submissions and impact. ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄMOOCs reached over 130,000 enrollments from more than 190 countries, reinforcing ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ’s educational mission.

The ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ Biennial Report 2024-2025 was edited by Executive Director Kim Fontaine-Skronski, with Mathieu St-Laurent, Senior Director Membership, Research and Strategy, serving as managing editor.
